Our founder, James Concannon, traveled from Ireland with a dream of crafting extraordinary wines in the rocky soil of Livermore Valley in 1883. James saw the rocky soil and rich terroir of Livermore Valley and it immediately reminded him of France’s premier winemaking regions. With its idyllic Central Coast climate, Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes in warm days and nights cooled by winds from the San Francisco Bay.
For over 125 years, we have carefully selected the most ideal vineyards for growing this variety. We then craft the expressive fruit into Cabernet Sauvignon that you will remember long after you finish the last sip. Our Assemblage® Red wine, a proprietary Bordeaux-styled Cabernet Sauvignon, is an elegant expression of a traditional Bordeaux varietal.
